Sardinia, a unique experience

Casa Cheremule - Sardinia

The Cheremule holiday home is quietly located in the hinterland of Western Sardinia. Everything has been lovingly restored with modern living comfort and an elegant timeless interior with a few antique kitsch elements. A haven for those seeking tranquility who would like rural seclusion with plenty of space.

About the accommodation

The recently renovated country house is located in a panoramic position only about 500 meters from the small farming community of Cheremule. The large grounds allow you to take a vacation off the beaten track and yet it is so strategically located that you can be on the SS131 motorway in a few minutes to explore the area. It is less than an hour's drive from the sea to Platamona or Alghero and behind Cheremule the curves begin around Monteleone Roccadoria or Villanova to Bosa, Alghero and Cuglieri. Thanks to the thick stone walls of the house, you do not need air conditioning, just like the construction workers who in the 19th century knew how to build energy-efficiently with natural stone. For the cold winter months there is a rustic fireplace with comfortable seating.
The dining room is generously equipped: here you can sit and enjoy an evening with friends and family. There is also plenty of space outside where there is room for several cars and / or motorcycle trailers.

Rooms

The sleeping area is located on the top floor of the property and has three rustically furnished bedrooms with exposed stone walls, one with a double bed and two with two single beds each. There is also a bathroom. Hairdryer, iron, ironing board, towels and bed linen are provided for the duration of your stay.

Activities

The region around Torralba is the not touristic part of the island. Here you can get to know the real Sardinia in every season. It is particularly beautiful here in spring, autumn and winter when the high plains and valleys shine in lush greenery. Motorcyclists will find exciting curves here and racing cyclists will find endless training routes. The via ferrata of the Ferrata di Giorrè near the small village of Cargeghe south of Sassari leads spectacularly at an altitude of 2500 meters along three almost vertically sloping cliffs. Surrounded by extensive olive groves, the city of Sassari extends over a limestone plateau. A modern city with a historical core and tradition and finally the second largest city on the island. It is the provincial capital, you will find the university here. Also it is an important transport and service center for Northern Sardinia. This region also has a lot to offer in terms of art history: here are the most beautiful Romanesque churches on the island, such as the abbey church of Santissima Trinità di Saccargia or the black cathedral of Ardara and the church of Sant 'Antioco di Bisarcio near Ozieri. But also one of the most spectacular Bronze Age castles on the island: the stone tower of Santu Antine in the nuraghi valley.

A perfect stay for those...

Get to know Sardinia in a completely different way: this country house is located in a remote region of the island, just an hour's drive from the sea.

Discover the north-western province of Sassari

The province of Sassari is a fairly well-known province, due to the presence of the Fertilia Airport near Alghero which draws in many a tourist. Its eponymous capital, whose city centre consists of numerous narrow alleys, has a rich history. Villages such as Alghero, Stintino and the picturesque seaside town Castelsardo are the main highlights in the area, although the capital Sassari, which has been extensively renovated over the past years, is definitely worth a visit too.
