Donkey ride in the east of Sardinia

This special excursion with donkeys through the forest of Suttaterra is a fun full-day excursion for all families spending a holiday in Sardinia with children. The guide and the donkeys will meet you in Dorgali at 09:00 am for a unique experience. It is a beautiful hiking route, the six-kilometer donkey ride leads you through the area of ​​Suttaterra, where ancient holm oaks provide the necessary shade. The donkeys keep you company along the way, carry your luggage and children can be put on the saddle if they want to. Of course the guide will give you the necessary explanation about the area, nature and will provide you with a tasty lunch.

The program in detail:

• A car transfer of approximately 30 minutes to the starting point of the hike
• Visit to a hidden cave
• Hike up to Punta su Nuraghe at the top, from where you have a magnificent view over the Bay of Orosei
• On the way back, a stop at a so-called "cuile" (old sheepfold) for a typical lunch with local products such as casadine, sausage, cheeses, ricotta with honey, vegetables, water, and wine.
