Gallicantu Stazzo Retreat, Luogosanto - Sardinia
A magical retreat among oak trees, wonderful stones, fantastic views and a unique landscape! Gallicantu is made up of two ancient farmhouses which have been transformed into a luxury retreat with an extraordinary atmosphere in the beautiful north-east of Sardinia. Everyone aged 14 and over is welcome in Gallicantu Stazzo Retreat.
About the accommodation
Gallicantu Stazzo Retreat is a particularly unusual place, even for the enchanting northeast of Sardinia. Where shepherds from distant Corsica once settled to live in stone huts, the two owners Marco and Raffaella have created a small, enchanting retreat that has only five rooms and offers plenty of luxury. Thanks to their many years of experience in the best hotels on the island, these hosts offer you tailor-made hotel services and special excursion tips on a daily basis.
Your nights will be peaceful and calm, just like the days. The granite-built houses - reminiscent of the old Stazzu architecture of the early 20th century - are simple on the outside and surprising on the inside.
The walls keep you warm in winter and cool in summer, and each room has its own unique atmosphere. Do you want to get acquainted with the rural life of Sardinia? Stroll through the endless olive groves and almond plantations, get started in the house garden, pick cherries directly from the tree or try the homemade myrtle lycure, which is made from the berries on the estate. Even the honey at breakfast comes from the Gallicantu's own bee colonies. The energy generation of the house is sustainable and modern charging points are available for electric cars and e-bikes.
If that's not enough, you can enjoy an apertivo in the hotel's own granite cave, which has been in use since the Stone Age and has been converted into a very special dining venue with a spiritual atmosphere. Because the clocks tick a little differently at this retreat, the poolside honesty bar is available almost 24 hours a day, along with sun loungers and umbrellas under huge oak trees. in Gallicantu you discover Sardinia at its best.

Rooms
In the main building of Gallicantu, five individually designed rooms are available. On cooler days, a spacious living room with an open fireplace invites guests to relax, while the wellness area with sauna and hammam and a small relaxation corner create moments of pure wellbeing. Stone, gnarled juniper beams, wrought-iron details, handwoven fabrics and ceramics create a fairytale atmosphere, combining Sardinian craftsmanship with modern comfort in a truly unique way. The room Petra has its own outdoor area facing the small woodland, Minuredda offers private access to the wellness area, Antica still features the original granite stone walls, and Balaiana is extra spacious and offers a beautiful view. The finest view, however, is from the panoramic room Corsica, overlooking the high mountains of the nearby French island.
In a separate building, two suites, Igna and Mendula, are available. The latter offers its own garden area in the almond grove, while Igna is the largest accommodation at Gallicantu: a spacious bedroom with mezzanine and room for up to four guests, two bathrooms and a beautiful pergola facing the almond grove.
