Agriturismo Filieri , Dorgali - Sardinia
If you want to discover Sardinia’s highlights, make time for this eastern corner of the island, away from the crowds and close to both the sea and the mountains. You can stay at Agriturismo Filieri in Dorgali, one of our distinctive places to stay in Sardinia. Enjoy the peace and open space of the countryside on a small farm where age-old traditions, slow food and fine red Cannonau wines are part of everyday life!
About the accommodation
Filieri is a Turismo Rurale, a welcoming rural retreat near Dorgali, about a fifteen-minute drive from the lively seaside village of Cala Gonone. Surrounded by Cannonau vineyards and olive groves grown for extra virgin olive oil, the hospitable family also keeps livestock on a small scale and produces delicious cured ham. Sit down to dinner in the restaurant and enjoy a generous meal that brings the flavours of Sardinia to your table!
During the day, you can relax by the pool, enjoy a drink on the panoramic terrace or take day trips to explore the surrounding area. Alongside the sea and the many beautiful little beaches of the Gulf of Orosei, this region, which has retained much of its traditional character, is also known for Gennargentu National Park. You can enjoy wonderful walks in the Supramonte mountains, visit Su Gorropu gorge and discover archaeological sites such as the Nuragic village of Tiscali.

Rooms
The agriturismo has four comfortable en-suite rooms, each accommodating two to three guests. Each room opens onto the garden, with views of the Supramonte mountains and Dorgali in the distance. Air conditioning keeps the rooms cool in summer and comfortably warm on colder days. If you enjoy peace and quiet alongside the hospitality of an agriturismo, the apartment with its own kitchen is a lovely option. Set a little further from the main building, it offers privacy while still allowing you to enjoy breakfast and dinner at the property.

Agriturismo Filieri
Dorgali
The intimate mountain village of Dorgali is located in central Sardinia, yet not too far from the east coast. Dorgali is known for its leather, ceramic, tapestries and filigree jewellery. Some of the historic buildings, such as the churches of Madonna d’Itria, San Lussurio and Maddalena are made of volcanic rock. The central square, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, houses the church of Santa Caterina, embellished by a beautiful sculpted altar. Dorgali’s Archaeological Museam shows an impressive collection of findings from the Nuraghic, Punic and Roman Ages.
The area is perfectly suited for active travellers wanting to explore central Sardinia as well as the beautiful beaches on the east coast.
We highly recommend hiking through one of Europe’s largest gorges, Gola di Goroppu. The Nuraghic village of Tiscali and the Park Museum S’Abba Frisca”, located in the valley in between Dorgali, Ispinigoli and Cala Gonone, are definitely worth a visit.

Discover the province of Nuoro in east Sardinia
It's like time has stood still in the versatile province of Nuoro, known for its unique coastline and pristine nature. Nuoro is the least densely populated region of the island. Through the years neither the Romans, Carthaginians nor any other foreign conquerors have succeeded in invading the area, because of which it's been able to develop its own culture. Nowadays Nuoro's unique folklore and traditions are still visible during the local festivities.
