Sardinia, a unique experience

Hotel Club Ragno d'Oro, Vignola - Sardinia

Small and family-run 3-star hotel with only twenty rooms. In Ragno d'Oro you will stay at 300 meters from the sea and the long sandy beach of Vignola Mare. Our cheap insider tip in a still relatively unknown holiday region in the north of Sardinia.

About the accommodation

Surrounded by a beautiful green and colorful garden, this small hotel offers hospitality based on tradition. Simple but well-appointed rooms, excellent Italian breakfast and a well-maintained complex with several seating areas in the garden. And in a five minute walk you can reach the beach!

Rooms

The 20 rooms of the Hotel Club Ragno d'Oro are located on the ground or first floor and have a covered terrace separated from the neighbor's terrace by a wall. In contrast to the standard rooms, the superior rooms also have a massage shower or have an extra large terrace. The hotel's only suite is located on the first floor and has a jacuzzi. The interior and the room facilities are the same everywhere: satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar and a desk. There are extra beds or armchairs in the large triple and family rooms.

Activities

Vignola is one of the lesser known holiday areas on the island. The long sandy beach - split in two by rocks - is especially popular with kite and windsurfers, especially in the late season, when it is really quiet. Only in summer does the coastal village come alive when the surrounding campsites and hotels are open. In Vignola Mare you can stroll along the coast - west to the old Saracen tower "La Turra", which dominates the entire coastline and to the chapel of San Silverio, built by the fishermen in honor of their patron saint. Until well into the 1950s, many foreign fishermen came here to fish for lobster and coral off the coast of Vignola. If you walk east on the beach you will come across beautiful cliffs where you can snorkel and then the pristine beaches of Riu Saldi, completely surrounded by a pine forest. Here the beaches are a bit rougher and have a mixture of sand and pebble.

A perfect stay for those...

Vignola

Vignola is one of the little known holiday areas on the island. The long sandy beach, divided in two by a rocky promontory, is popular with surfers and kiters, especially in winter when it is really quiet here. Only in summer does the coastal town come to life when the surrounding campsites are open. Here you can enjoy a walk along the coast - west to the old Saracen tower La Turra, which dominates the entire coastline to the chapel of San Silverio, built here by Pontine fishermen in honor of their patron saint. Well into the 1950s, fishermen came from far and wide to fish for lobsters and corals at Vignola. Immediately behind it is another, small, lonely beach.
On the other hand, as you walk east along the coast you'll pass amazing snorkeling rocks to the natural beaches of Riu Saldi, which are framed by a thick pine forest. Here the beaches get rougher and pebbly, but the beach vegetation of reeds, dune funnel daffodils, rushes, beach thistles and snow-white beach felt flowers stretch out to the sea. It is wonderfully quiet and romantic here!
