Hotel Costa Paradiso, Costa Paradiso - Sardinia
Dark-red porphyry rocks, a deep-blue sea and picture-perfect sunsets: the recently renovated Hotel Costa Paradiso occupies one of northern Sardinia’s most spectacular stretches of coastline. Around the seawater pool, sun terraces descend in tiers almost to the water’s edge. Hidden bathing coves and a diving centre directly opposite complete the holiday experience.
About the accommodation
This small-scale hotel is set within the extensive Costa Paradiso holiday village. Red rocks, fragrant Mediterranean scrub and scattered holiday homes shape the scenery, with glimpses of secluded coves and the shimmering sea appearing in between.
The seawater pool on the spacious panoramic terrace is the perfect spot for relaxing in the sun. Loungers and parasols are provided, while further terraces descend in tiers towards the rocky coastline. The pool is generally open from 1 May to 13 October.
Just a few steps from the main building, the “Costa Paradiso” restaurant serves Italian dishes and pizza. Half board and full board can be booked flexibly on a day-by-day basis. Guests select their preferred dinner menu at reception by noon. With advance notice, the kitchen can also cater for allergies and food intolerances.

Activities
Costa Paradiso lives up to its name. Red porphyry rocks rise from the evergreen Mediterranean scrub, with the clear sea gleaming between them. Small sandy and rocky coves are hidden among the cliffs. Spiaggia di Li Cossi is particularly beautiful: a coastal path of around 15 minutes leads to this sheltered beach.
The clear water is ideal for snorkelling and diving. Opposite the hotel, a diving centre runs excursions for beginners and experienced divers. Boats can also be hired nearby.
The red rocks of Isola Rossa and Badesi’s 14-kilometre sandy beach make good day trips. In Castelsardo, steep medieval lanes climb to the castle, with wide views across the sea. Inland are the granite town of Tempio Pausania, Gallura’s cork oak forests and small villages such as Aggius, Luras and Calangianus. Winding roads through the granite landscape also make this fine motorcycling country. Further north, Capo Testa near Santa Teresa Gallura is known for its massive boulders and the Valle della Luna.

Hotel Costa Paradiso
Costa Paradiso
The paradise coast in the north of the island between Portobello di Gallura and Isola Rossa lives up to its name. Along the coast are huge, bright red rocks, cliffs and small bays with sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. The small, very exclusive holiday resort in the north of Sardinia consists mainly of villas and apartments. The coast is characterized mainly by rocks and cliffs - and by a beautiful view over the coast and the sea. On clear days you can even see the coastline of the distant neighboring island of Corsica. Coves and small sandy beaches are always hidden among the red-hot cliffs. One of the largest and most famous beaches is Li Cossi with its fine sand and crystal clear water - one of the most beautiful beach destinations in Sardinia and great for families with children and snorkel boots! If you would like to get away from the crowds, take the dinghy shuttle from the mini port of Costa Paradiso to Tinnari. Two small "Centro Commerciale", each with a small supermarket and restaurants offer all the necessities, for larger shopping you can go to Badesi < / a>. Almost all villas have their own private swimming pool, because in the few weeks of the high season the beautiful beaches of the Costa Paradiso are a bit crowded. The Costa Paradiso had its best times the late 1960s when stars such as actress Monica Vitti and director Michelangelo Antonioni were here on a VIP holdiay. Only the dome structure of La Cupola attests to this period - an abandoned masterpiece of Dante Bini's architecture, which today hat today disappears in the salty sea air.
Which famous stars are nowadays in the villas, houses and apartments at the Costa Paradiso is kept a secret: after all, you go to the Costa Smeralda to relax.
